Chas And Dave bring the East End of London to Glastonbury

The muddy crowd has a knees-up at The Park

Rockney legends Chas And Dave brought a taste of London's East End to Glastonbury today (June 22).

The duo played their mid-afternoon knees-up on at new arena The Park Stage.

"It's good to be back!" announced bassist Dave Peacock before the band launched into a 15-song set that included such crowd-pleasers as 'London Girls', 'Margate', 'Rabbit', 'That’s What I Like' and 'The Sideboard Song'.

Keyboardist Chas Hodges drew cheers by heralding a drum solo from legendary sticksman Mickey Burt with the immortal line ‘Give it some stick, Mick!’

During 'Rabbit', a man hopped across the stage dressed in a bunny suit, and the band rounded off their rapturously-received set with the mass sing-a-long 'Ain’t No Pleasing You'.
