Stars out for Glastonbury covers set

Madness, The Charlatans and The Magic Numbers all perform

Stars out for Glastonbury covers set

Guilty Pleasures and The Tor Dogs were joined by a host of stars for a special covers show at Glastonbury today (June 22).

The band were joined by The Magic Numbers, Tim Burgess from The Charlatans, Guy Garvey from Elbow, Madness singer Suggs and members of the Bay City Rollers for a surprise set on the Jazz Stage.

Rumours were abound that Magic Numbers percussionist Angela Gannon was set to perform with the band The Tor Dogs for a cover of the Dolly Parton classic '9 To 5'.

But the band then surprised the crowd by introducing a host of other big names as they reeled off a series of covers including John Paul Young's 'Love Is In The Air' which was performed by Suggs.

While each artist took it in turns to step up, Ed Harcourt also took up keyboard duties.

He also did his own cover of Billy Joel's 'My Life'.
