The Gossip provide Glastonbury 2007 with fitting climax

'Standing In The Way Of Control' rocks the John Peel Stage

The Gossip have brought Glastonbury to a suitable climax tonight (June 24) with the closing performance of 2007 on the John Peel Stage

Packing out the tent, Beth Ditto put in a star turn to rival Shirley Bassey’s Pyramid Stage turn earlier this afternoon.

With the singer commanding the stage, and the crowd’s attention, ’Listen Up’ had festival goers dancing in the mud for one last time.

However, as predicted, it was a storming version of the band’s signature tune ’Standing In The Way Of Control’ that provided Glastonbury with a worthy climax.
