The Dame in near fatal helicopter accident
Dame Shirley Bassey was in a near fatal accident after her Glastonbury festival performance last night (June 25).
The helicopter that took her away from the festival site developed a fault, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing.
The plane landed in the grounds of Collingwood College in Camberley in Surrey.
A witness Rosella Tew told The Mirror: “My husband Thomas and I watched in horror as the helicopter touched the tops of the trees in our garden. It was clear the pilot struggling to control the machine. Thankfully it made a very bumpy landing.
“You could tell had been through a terrible ordeal but she maintained her dignity.”
