Kanye West or Jay-Z to headline Glastonbury?
Michael Eavis hints at artists for 2008 festival
Michael Eavis has been speaking about this year's - and has even hinted at who might be making an appearance.
Although refusing to reveal any names from the line-up, when pushed by BBC Points West programme he hinted, "I'm putting on a black American headliner, who’s absolutely terrific."
He added that the artist will specifically appeal to the younger audience, whom many claimed were missing from last year's event.
Kanye West is one of the favourites to filll this gap along wiyh Jay-Z with Beyonce and Alicia Keys also possibilities as they may all be touring during 2008.
Also asked about the probability that Amy Winehouse might perform, Eavis said she was a target for the festival explaining: "I really, really do need her."
Glastonbury Festival takes place in Somerset from June 27-29.
Fans must register to stand a chance of buying tickets on Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk or by picking up a form from camping shop Millets.
Tickets go on sale on April 6.
