Glastonbury registration NOW re-open (April 8)

Latecomers can sign up for 2008 festival tickets

Registration for the 2008 Glastonbury festival has re-opened at 4pm (BST) today (April 8).

Festival-goers will need to submit basic personal details and a passport quality photo at Glastonburyregistration.co.uk.

Once their application has been accepted they will be sent a confirmation email with a link enabling them to buy tickets immediately.

Ticket prices for a weekend ticket are ?155, plus ?5 booking fee per ticket and ?4 post and packaging per order.

"We?ve had a lot of enquiries from people asking if they can register, especially now they realise it?s still possible to buy tickets," said Michael Eavis of the move. "This will give them the chance to see the best line-up of any festival this summer."

Check out NME.COM's handy guide for Glastonbury's late registration now.

The process of registering was introduced for the first time last year in order to deter ticket touts.

This year's festival takes place over the weekend 27-29 June. Kings Of Leon, Jay-Z and The Verve will headline the event at Worthy Farm.

Over 100,000 tickets for the three-day bash have been snapped up since they went on sale at 9am on Sunday morning (April 6).

I would go but for the same price, less effort and at a better time I can go to a better festival (Leeds/Reading).I love the anti-tout measures and think all ticket agencies should employ this method but Eavis needs to realise that Glasto is not the only big mainstream festival in the UK now. He needs to change things, starting with the date.

I've got my photo-confirmation, but no registration number as yet. I copied down the number they gave me when I registered, but it's too short for the box when you're buying tickets and doesn't work!

the best line up this summer? hardly. this year, glastonbury looks like it will be rubbish. I didn't even bother registering. Glastonbury is going to fall on its face in 2008.That's why I'm going to Reading, far better line up and they have the courtesy to announce most of it when tickets go on sale.

whoever says pete is talentless should be shot, what do they know? They probably listen to crap bands such as the twang and read the sun. Good luck Pete!

I wish people would stop whinging about the line-up. Any festival with 50+ stages is naturally going to have a better line-up that one with about 6. Also, whoever it was above that said Reading and Leeds are better festivals than Glastonbury need their head looking at, Reading and Leeds are just big gigs in a big field. Glastonbury is so much more than that, it's a proper festival where everything from Music to Circus to Caberet through to Comedy is celebrated. It's the biggest and best party in the world!
