Glastonbury 2008: Tony Benn to speak at Left Field stage

Veteran socialist joins The Rascals and British Sea Power

Veteran socialist politician Tony Benn is set to speak at this year's Glastonbury festival.

Benn will join acts including The Rascals, British Sea Power and Billy Bragg on the Left Field stage.

Speaking on what has become his regular Sunday afternoon slot, the politician will talk on the topic of 'Another World Is Possible'.

Benn has appeared on the Left Field stage at every Glastonbury since 2002.

Excellent news! Anyone who gives a fuck really should listen to this man - don't wait until he's dead and then becomes a posthumous cult hero like Che, go and hear him ASAP. If only there were more like him, the world wouldn't be so full of corporate greed.
