Glastonbury 2008 weather forecast: four days to go

Will it be wellies or sunglasses for this weekend's bash?

With four days to go until the Glastonbury festival begins this Friday (June 27), fans are nervously checking weather reports to try and predict whether another year of floods is on the card.

Metcheck predicts that two days of the festival will be sunny, but one will feature rain.

According to the weather prediction service Friday will see showers in the early afternoon, with things clearing up into the early evening. Both rain and sun is then predicted into the evening, with things clearing up at around 10pm (BST). Up to 1.9mm of rain is expected to fall.

On Saturday (June 28) the day is set to begin with showers, which should cease by 10am. Sun is then predicted all afternoon, with a temperature of around 18 degrees celcius. Rain is not expected to fall in the afternoon or evening.

The final day of the festival (June 29) is expected to yield the best weather, with no rain predicted throughout the day. Temperatures should hit about 17 degrees celcius in the afternoon and 12 degrees in the evening.

Check back tomorrow (June 24) for the latest Glastonbury weather report.

your ignorance is fine. If you ave a ruler to hand and inbetween bunking off school, when i urned up to maths i believe there are 10mm in 1cm, therefore 1.9mm is in fact not much rain at all!! wa hey!!

I'm just going to hang around GLASVEGAS as they seemed well armed with their brollies at the moment.

They seem to keep changing their minds though; I just checked and it says there isn't any rain on all 5 days...Plus, extra tip, if you want more accurate weather, check for Shepton Mallet, it's closer (not by much, but it is). Yeah, that's what you get for being a local boy!
