Edwyn Collins crowns amazing comeback at Glastonbury

Indie legend Edwyn Collins was watched by fans Franz Ferdinand as he crowned an amazing comeback from illness with a rapturously received show at Glastonbury tonight (June 27).

The former Orange Juice frontman-turned solo artist has only played sporadic shows after recovering from two brain haemorrhages in 2005.

Collins, backed by a band which included another Scottish indie favourite, Roddy Frame from Aztec Camera, played a set that mingled solo songs with Orange Juice favourites.

The biggest cheers were reserved for Collins' biggest hits, Orange Juice's 1983 UK Top Ten single 'Rip It Up', as well as Nineties worldwide solo smash 'A Girl Like You', which closed proceedings.

Edwyn Collins played:

'Falling And Laughing'
'Poor Old Soul'
'What Presence?'
'Home Again'
'Searching For The Truth'
'Make Me Feel Again'
'You'll Never Know My Love'
'Rip It Up'
'One Track Mind''
'Blue Boy'
'A Girl Like You'
