New York band get the Friday party started

Hercules and Love Affair bought their disco implosion to Glastonbury today (June 27) on the Dance Stage East at 7:30pm (BST).

The New York group's set saw hot pant-wearing vocalist Nomi hip-grinding throughout.

Kicking off with 'True False', the eight-piece group, complete with a horn section, stormed through tracks from their self-titled debut album.

With the crowd already bopping along to the dance beats and brass section the band got the crowd revved up with recent single 'Blind', which saw Nomi performing vocals - originally sung by Antony Hegarty of Antony & The Johnsons on the recorded version of the song.

During 'Athena' band member Kim Ann took over vocal duty, before the band played a cover of 'Don't Fear The Reaper' by Blue Oyster Cult.

The band ended with an amped-up version of new single 'You Belong'.
