Glastonbury spin-off event finds new home

The Glade Festival switches to new 'secret location'

Glastonbury spin-off event finds new home

The spin-off festival organised by Glastonbury stage The Glade has found a new site - allowing this year's event to go ahead.

The Glade Festival will take place between July 16 and 19 at a secret location – which organisers will only reveal just before the event – near Winchester.

It is expected that the new location will allow the festival to continue later into the night than on the old site at the Wasing Estate in Berkshire.

"We are really happy with our new home, it's really tailor-made for us - beautiful countryside, an event-friendly council and no neighbours, so we can enjoy dance music as mother nature intended - outdoors and loud!", explained Glade director Nick Ladd.

Acts for the 2009 event are yet to be announced.
