The Wombats confirmed for Glastonbury

They'll play the new William Green area of the site

The Wombats have been confirmed as playing this year's Glastonbury festival.

The three-piece will play the site's new William Green area, which is named after Michael Eavis' grandfather.

As previously reported, Maximo Park are due to open the new area at 4pm (BST) on the Thursday (June 25) of the Somerset bash.

The Queen's Head tent, which was previously situated opposite The Other Stage, will be central to the William Green area, which is located between the Pyramid Stage and The Acoustic Tent, reports the festival's official website, Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.

The lineup is looking dire! Lily Allen? Lady Ga Ga? The Ting Tings? And now the fucking Wombats!!! And Bruce Springsteen, ok the guy is a legend but I doubt 90 percent of people watching him can name 3 songs off the top of their heads.
