This looks like the greatest line up for the greatest festival in the world - my heart has just skipped a beat .... x

Fantastic line-up. Gonna be a vintage year.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was hoping for arctic monkeys but now I don't care it's gonna be amazing!

Boss, FF, Jarvo & Bon Iver all at the same time! My heart is crying cause I can choose one only. Anyway fantastic line-up.

May 25, 2009

Best possible line up for my first Glasto have waited since 1972 to see Neil Young nd CSN amazing!!!

MikeyCisco

May 25, 2009

It's amazing. An nme news item that everyone seems to agree with each other on!

geetar

May 26, 2009

Amazing line-up. I was ecstatic enough over the headliners, which are amazing and a real coup, but the rest of the bill has now exceeded any possible expectations that I could have dare dreamed of having. It's going to be immense!!

Franky Hoon

May 26, 2009

Pardon my party-pooper personality, but I think that this year's Glasto is pretty crappy. I prefer this year's Leeds Fest much more.

Tremor

May 26, 2009

I can make it slightly better for you ap1976pr - Bon Iver are on again the following day, third on the Other Stage. Apart from the fact that some of the ordering seems a bit odd (like Bon Iver, had no idea he was that popular!) looks like a great line up. Sadly I'm not going though!

May 26, 2009

Best line up for years, shame about the headliners for the main satge though. I don't get it, I stop going and the line up improves?

saffycatt

May 26, 2009

Blimey, look at that line-up, hope the weather's good otherwise all those zimmer frames are gonna get stuck. Great festival for fat over forty blokes getting down with the kids. The pie sellers are gonna make a killing, dad rock-on! Cue response along the lines of "hey I'm 19 and I just love Neil Young, Crosby Stills and Nash, the Boss, Tom Jones, Tony Christie and the diversity of it all blah blah...."

shityourlegoff

May 26, 2009

There's a lot of utter shite in that lineup

jackstanley

May 26, 2009

Lol, that saffycat, is because the point you've just made is a complete nonsense non-point. You're trying to suggest you can only like music made by musicians the same age as yourself? Moron. Putting down Neil Young - hahahaha, brilliant.

ratty30

May 26, 2009

Saffycatt: I'm with you on this one... This line-up is below par.

Ordinarygrl

May 26, 2009

i agree with jackstanley, seriously tho, how many fat over fortys do you know who like calvin harris, bloc party, the prodigy and lady gaga? im guessing not many

lgs00schos

May 26, 2009

You're right. I'm gonna spend the weekend dad-rocking along to animal collective, erol alkan, high contrast, easy star all stars, regina spektor, fleet foxes, enter shikari.Mate, look past the headliners. The glastonbury line up this year is phenomenal. Something for pretty much everyone. I'm not having a go, i'm just saying that with over 1000 acts playing, dad rock will we pretty easy to avoid.

rubbersoul7

May 26, 2009

Definitely the best line up in a long time. Neil Young is the greatest headliner Glasto has ever had. Add CSN into the mix and you have aan amazing amount of genius up there this year. I just wish the bulk of scenster twats (such as Saffycat and many more of the idiots that post on here) would fuck off and leave it to the real music fans to enjoy legends such as NY and CSN.

stevee1966

May 26, 2009

It was only last year that Michael Eavis was complaining about too many middle aged punters going to Glastonbury and that he ws looking at changing the way tickets were sold to attract more youngsters, but then he puts on Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur as headliners - doesn't make sense. I think it's a very hit and miss (but mostly miss) line up.Ordinarygrl - i'm 42 and the majority of music i buy is by new indie bands. I certainly do know who Calvin Harries, Bloc Party, the Prodidgy and Lady Gaga are, and i'd prefer to see them over Springsteen, Neil Young and Crosby Stills and Nash anyday.Good job Glastonbury is not just about the music.

May 26, 2009

Lady Gaga is a joke and I don't know how the hell Bloc Party keep getting these big slots.....still, it's a good mix this year - not full to the brim of top names but thhat's what Glasto is about - a whole bunch of new bands to go and check out - Glasto's not about having killer line ups on the main stages - if they did that people wouldn't stretch their legs and check out The Park, Queen's Head, Acoustic etc....kudos to Eavis for putting EODM on main stage though - the Pyramid has been missing some proper hard rock for a few years - still think Friday and Sunday's line ups would be better swapped around though - that Friday headline slot is the best one to have....

Faby The Baby

May 26, 2009

Cant wait, love the line up......

matty_boy_2

May 26, 2009

lol art brut are playing glasto xD those guys should be headlining, would be way more entertaining for eddie argos alone :)

RealMode

May 26, 2009

there are many interesting bands to see, and it's easy to avoid shit ones anyway, so no one can really complain about this line up. ;)

wii252

Jun 6, 2009

I agree with jamesheal, its not all about the head liners I personally prefer the smaller acts. However, this years line up is deffinately worse than last years line up as the smaller acts in the park, john peel tent and the other stage are not as good. Overall the line up is not bad but not good with reading's line up being alot lot better.

Glastonbury last won the Best Live Event in 2005, and since then Reading & Leeds have stolen the crown every time. Can Jay-Z, Kings Of Leon and The Verve help the Eavises regain their prize? Also up: IOW, T In The Park, V Festival and Tunbridge Wells Real Ale And Pie Festival. One of these may not be true.
