New areas for Glastonbury 2013 to include The Arctic Dome, Genosys and The Summerhouse

They will join festival mainstays such as Arcadia, The Field of Avalon, the Green Fields and Strummerville

New areas for Glastonbury 2013 to include The Arctic Dome, Genosys and The Summerhouse
A host of new areas are set to be revealed at this year's Glastonbury festival, including The Arctic Dome, Genosys and The Summerhouse.

More areas, named Blues, Genosys, Glasto Latino, Gully, Sonic and William's Green will also be open at the festival for the first time.

The line-ups and concepts for these new areas are yet to be announced, but they will run alongside festival mainstays Arcadia, The Common, Croissant-Neuf, The Field of Avalon, Green Fields, Green Futures, Healing Field, Leftfield, Strummerville, The Unfairground and Shangri-La: The Afterlife.

Earlier this evening (March 27), Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons were confirmed as headliners of this year's Glastonbury festival. Of the Rolling Stones' slot, frontman Mick Jagger tweeted:



This year's Glastonbury festival is to be live streamed for the first time with viewers able to watch different stages as they happen. The BBC will use the latest digital technology to allow viewers to choose from simultaneous live streams from all the major stages.

Other high-profile performers include Dizzee Rascal, Vampire Weekend, Portishead, Foals, Alt-J, Tame Impala, Public Enemy, Rodriguez, The Horrors, Django Django, Phoenix, Crystal Castles, Sinéad O'Connor, Stevie Winwood and Evan Dando.
