Festival organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that she is close to confirming the names of the first two headliners for next year's Glastonbury.
Speaking to NME in a new interview in this week's issue, available digitally and on newsstands now, Emily Eavis reveals that she is near to securing the first two headline acts and has "a few options" for the final spot. "We are away in Cornwall this week and I've just been talking to an agent on the phone on the beach in the rain about one of our headliners!" she says. "We're definitely getting close to securing two and there are a few options for the third. It's annoying really as there are lots of great bands touring next year and we'd love to have them all. But rest assured, it's going to be one hell of a show - maybe even the best yet!"
Michael Eavis has previously revealed that over one million people have already registered for tickets for next year's event. Bookmakers have been taking odds on the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Prince and David Bowie to take the headline spots in 2014. Foo Fighters are currently favourites to fill the coveted Saturday night Pyramid Stage slot, whilst rumours of a 'Definitely Maybe' 20th anniversary reunion have given Oasis odds of 10/1 to make an appearance.
