Leaking loo forces Glasvegas into impromptu acoustic set

Glasvegas frontman James Allan had to perform an impromptu acoustic live set last night (February 5) at Club NME in Carlisle.

Before the gig the TC Nightclub venue's ceiling had sprung a leak, with water from the mens' toilets flowing down onto the sound desk, scuppering the prospect of electric sound for the gig.

A crowd of around 200 people had already assembled to see the fast-rising band, so singer/guitarist Allan decided to perform acoustically instead.

Allan played songs such as forthcoming single 'It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry' and 'Flowers And Football Tops', while his band members cheered from the side of the stage.

Allan's set was a huge hit with the fans, who sang along to many of the songs.

?The crowd were in his hands,? said NME.COM user ?Lee?, who watched the gig. ?This was the type of gig that will be remembered in months and years to come as the Glasvegas legend grows.?

Glasvegas are set to perform at Club NME at Luton?s Sub Bar venue tomorrow night (February 7).
