Saw them at Edinburgh Liquid Rooms last night and they were brilliant. tickets were changing hands for £50 on ebay, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. To all those sharpening the knives: believe the hype. Glasvegas ARE the real deal, and the album is one of the best this year (I review for an online magazine and I hve heard over 100 new releases this year).Ed

Once in a while a band comes along that has its finger firmly on the pulse of the social climate..the Clash and the Specials immediately spring to mind...Glasvegas can now be added to that exclusive list. This album is a supreme body of work, sure to attain 'classic album' status and we'll still be talking in reverent terms about it in 20 years' time. Go out and buy it, it may just change your life!
