Glasvegas Boston show cancelled tonight (September 29) due to visa issues
They will make it in time for Philadelphia tomorrow
According to a message on the band’s Myspace page, the documents were not issued in time, but should be ready tomorrow morning which should allow the band to make their Philadelphia show tomorrow night.
The message reads:
“We are sorry to announce that due to James' Work Visa not being processed in time by the US Embassy we've had to reschedule the Boston Show to 5th January 2009. We hoped it would arrive this morning UK time and James could fly in direct to Boston but we just learned that it will now arrive Tuesday morning. This is also why this announcement is so late in the day as we hoped his Visa would arrive Monday and we could still make this gig. We are really sorry for any hassle this causes and all tickets for the new show will remain valid.”
In addition to an opening slot with Echo And The Bunnymen this Wednesday in New York, the band are due to play their own show at Mercury Lounge on Saturday night (October 4).
Their highly anticipated debut album, 'Glasvegas', released in the UK on September 22, is due out in the US in early 2009.
The remaining tour dates are:
Philadelphia, PA North Star Bar (30)
New York, NY Radio City Music Hall (October 1)
Baltimore, MD Ottobar (2)
Washington DC Rock 'n' Roll Hotel (3)
New York, NY Mercury Lounge (4)
