Glasvegas announce Christmas album details

Tracks and release details confirmed for festival record

Glasvegas have announced the release plans for their Christmas Album.

The record, called 'A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss)', will be released as a download on December 1.

The album will also be available physically in a special two-disc limited edition of their self-titled debut album on the same day.

The record will feature the following songs, though the exact running order has yet to be worked out:

'Please Come Back Home'
'Cruel Moon'
'Careful What You Wish For'
'Fuck You, It's Over'
'A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss)'
'Silent Night / Noapte De Vis'

The album was recorded in Transylvania earlier this month, and includes The Concentus Choir singing on 'Silent Night' in both English and Romanian.

The choir were recorded at the St Nicholas Church in Brasov.

A Glasvegas album coupled with the worst economic crisis this country has experienced in recent times... at Christmas? Depression levels are going to go through the roof (or off it)! Looking forward to it :D

Am a little disappointed that I will have to purchase the LP again if I am after the physical copy but not as disappointed as I would be if it was a band I didnt care as much for.Quite frankly, I know we had Malcolm Middleton last year but I am glad that there is an alternative soundtrack for the season that for some people is just the crappest time of the year.

Oh God! I actually agree with Soundedd about something. I think it's time to start worrying.

Have received Coumbia's email about this; agree this should be out on its' own physical format, not the 'limited edition' that the email mentioned, which, if the early 7"s are anything to go by, would be snapped up and sold for a fortune on ebay. While we're on Glasvegas, does anyone know why the original singles (pre-signing to Columbia) are no longer on iTunes? Seems an odd thing to do to remove them...

Actually, Soundedd can you say something ridiculous like Oasis are the most relevant band of all time for me please, just to prove that I'm not starting to get like you?

Wolves fan, I would say that my favourite band The Beatles are the most relevant band of all time, but today of all days is not a day to be questioning Oasis' Relevance, how many tickets have your favourite bands sold, Oasis have sold half a million in 5 hours!, fuck all you Oasis haters haha :P

Why is it not a full 10 track album as nme reported only about two weeks ago? Surely they can't change their minds that quickly! So really there's only 5 new glasvegas tracks, hardly worth getting in my opinion.
