The Killers support Glasvegas in London

Brandon Flowers and co play surprise gig in the capital

The Killers played a surprise gig last night (November 8) at the Union Chapel in London, playing a three-song set to open the Mencap Little Noise Sessions gig headlined by Glasvegas.

Brandon Flowers and co. took the stage at 7:15pm (GMT) and played a semi-acoustic set comprising of new single 'Human', 'Smile Like You Mean It' and a cover of Cyndi Lauper's 1984 hit 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun'.

Sets from Cage The Elephant and White Lies followed The Killers' unannounced performance, before Glasvegas' James and Rab Allan took the stage at 9:30pm.

Frontman James, wearing his trademark Ray Ban sunglasses in front of the chapel alter, played acoustic guitar while Rab played electric guitar for opener 'Flowers And Football Tops'.

Following the song their bandmates, drummer Carline McKay and bassist Paul Donoghue, joined them onstage to play pared-down versions of 'Geraldine', 'Daddy's Gone', a cover of The Ronettes' 'Be My Baby' and set closer 'Ice Cream Van'.

The Mencap Little Noise Sessions continue tonight (November 9) with a headline set from Razorlight, with the likes of Biffy Clyro, Kasabian and Keane set to play shows at the chapel next week (from November 10).
