Glasvegas performed a stripped-down, almost-acoustic set at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on Friday night (June 12).

Only two members of the quartet - singer James Allan and guitarist Rab Allan -- took the stage in the intimate Masonic Lodge at the legendary cemetery, where Johnny Ramone of the Ramones is buried and Beatle George Harrison was cremated.

A giant ice sculpture of an angel with a broken heart adorned the stage, and video images flashed on the wall behind the band. "This reminds me of a school play, where I played the donkey," Allan told the packed audience in the intimate theatre. A man in the crowd shouted back, "Where's the rest of the band?" Completely unfazed, the singer quipped back, "Why did you think of the rest of the band when I said donkeys?"

The duo kicked things off with a slowed-down version of 'S.A.D. Light', and were joined by pianist Paul Cantelon for a striking version of 'Stabbed' later in the evening. The audience remained rapt with attention throughout the 40-minute set, reserving their loudest cheers for 'Geraldine' and set closer 'Daddy's Gone'.

"We love you L.A.," Allan said before leaving the stage.

Glasvegas are scheduled to return to the UK to play a series of arena dates with Kings Of Leon later this month, as previously reported.
