Glasvegas played a triumphant show at Glastonbury tonight (June 28), playing at dusk on the Other Stage second from top on the last night of the 2009 festival.
The black-clad four-piece were making their second visit to Worthy Farm, having played on the John Peel Stage at last year's bash.
"You gonna have a fucking good time here Glastonbury?" frontman James Allan, wearing his trademark Ray-Ban shades, asked the crowd before playing opener 'Geraldine'.
He didn't have to look far for inspiration - with the Geraldine who inspired the song, a former social worker who now sells merchandise on tour for the band, watching events from the side of the stage.
The band went on to play songs from their 2008 self-titled debut album plus 'Fuck You It's Over', which features on their Christmas mini-album 'A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss)'.
"Glastonbury, how're you doing?" Allan sang over the intro to 'Flowers And Football Tops'. "Thanks for coming to see our band."
Later in the set 'Go Square Go' induced a mass sing-along. Then the singer/guitarist and his bandmate and cousin, Rab Allan, played an acoustic cover of The Ronettes' 'Be My Baby' together.
"For every kiss you give me..." James Allan sang, "...I'll give you a million, Glastonbury."
Glasvegas ended their second show in as many years at the festival as they did last summer, by playing 'Daddy's Gone', with the crowd helping to sign off the performance by bellowing along.
Glasvegas played:
'Geraldine'
'Lonesome Swan'
'It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry'
'Polmont On My Mind'
'Fuck You It's Over'
'Flowers And Football Tops'
'Ice Cream Van'
'Go Square Go'
'Be My Baby'
'SAD Light'
'Daddy's Gone'
