Glasvegas are set to play a secret gig in their home city of Glasgow tonight (September 1).
The four-piece made the announcement via their Twitter page, Twitter.com/glasvegas, revealing that the gig will not take place in a conventional venue.
They are expected to reveal more information through the social networking site this evening.
Speaking about the secret gig, frontman James Allan gave a rather in-depth analysis of why he was playing it.
"When I first got involved in art, creativity and rock 'n' roll was always my world," he explained. "The door is always open for alternative like-minded thinkers who desire or are simply curious to be a part of it.
"I guess sometimes along the beaten track I've fallen love with kids with a similar passion, soul and limitless imaginations. I asked them on a date [the gig],
and if anyone wants to join us and be part of our world tonight then we would be as happy as Larry if they do. You never know, you might even dance."
Glasvegas played at the Leeds Festival on Friday (August 28) – click on the video on the right to watch an interview with them backstage at the event.
