Glasvegas have announced they'll be playing a charity gig at Glasgow's King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on March 27.

The 'Daddy's Gone' band will be playing at the infamous Scottish venue, where Alan McGee is said to have discovered Oasis, for the Daily Record's Centenary Fund - a charity set up by the newspaper to help a range of community projects.

Writing on the band's official Facebook, guitarist Rab Allan said: "I'm really excited to announce that we are playing a one off charity gig in King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow for the Daily Record on the 27th of March. The last time we played [here] was the 18th March 2007, so it's amazing to be playing here again. Here We Fuckin go…"

Speaking to the Sunday Mail about playing King Tut's again, frontman James Allan said: "It's a night out for everybody, it is nice to come back here. It's strange, it's bizarre, going from trying to get a wee gig in here to our name being on the famous steps."

Glasvegas are set to release their third album 'Later…When The TV Turns To Static' in Summer 2013. The album is the follow-up to 2011's 'Euphoric Heartbreak' and their 2008 self-titled debut record.
