Glasvegas have announced a UK tour to take place in June, culminating in a hometown date in their native Glasgow.

Glasvegas release 'I’d Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)', the first single from their forthcoming third studio album, 'Later… When The TV Turns To Static' today (April 20).

The tour begins in Newcastle at The Cluny on June 18 before heading to Manchester, London, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and finally Glasgow. Those buying tickets for the show from the band's own website will be offered a chance to pick up the limited white vinyl 7" single of the album's title track and current single ('I'd Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)'), which was released for Record Store Day on Saturday (April 20).

The band recently posted a video teasing their third album, featuring four static TV screens accompanied by a voice over from frontman James Allan – click below to watch. In the video, Allan says: "Everybody's departing from something. Going from A to B. Taking something with them, leaving something behind. A journey somewhere. Moving towards something. Moving away from something. Everybody's carrying something with them. Sometimes it's good just to let it go."

Tickets for the June shows are on pre-sale now at the band's website, and on general sale from Wednesday (April 24). To check the availability of Glasvegas tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
