This time the Mercury nominee goes it alone

Mercury Music Prize nominee Isobel Campbell is to release an acoustic album later this year.

‘Milkwhite Sheets’ is out on October 23. It’s the follow-up to the Nationwide Mercury Prize short-listed ‘Ballad Of The Broken Seas’, which she recorded with US singer Mark Lanegan.

Former Belle & Sebastian star Campbell sings by herself this time – and on ‘Loving Hannah’ with no instrumental accompaniment whatsoever.

The tracklisting is:

‘O Love Is Teasin'’
‘Willow's Song’
‘Yearning’
‘James’
‘Hori Horo’
‘Reynardine’
‘Milkwhite Sheets’
‘Cachel Wood’
‘Beggar, Wiseman Or Thief’
‘Loving Hannah’
‘Are You Going To Leave Me?’
‘Over The Wheat & The Barley’
‘Thursday's Child’
‘Bird In The Wood’ (CD hidden track)
