Cee Lo Green says Gnarls Barkley will reunite in 2014
Rapper says he'll work with producer Danger Mouse next year
The rapper was stopped by TMZ at LAX airport yesterday morning (December 22) and asked whether he and his bandmate, the producer Danger Mouse, would ever work together again. The pair have not released an album together since their 2008 effort 'The Odd Couple'.
Green responded to the question by simply answering: "Yeah man - like, next year." The duo released their first album, 'St Elsewhere', in 2006 after the huge success of their debut single 'Crazy', which topped the UK charts and became the country's biggest-selling single of that year.
Following Gnarls Barkley's hiatus, Green released his solo album 'The Lady Killer' in 2010 with his Christmas album, 'Cee Lo's Magic Moment', following in 2010. He has also spent time as a judge on the US version of the TV talent show The Voice.
Meanwhile, Danger Mouse - real name Brian Burton - has recently been working with the likes of Frank Ocean, U2 and The Black Keys as a producer. He and The Shins frontman James Mercer will also release the second album as Broken Bells, which is titled 'After The Disco', in January 2014.
