ONE-IN-FOUR PLAY! Goldfrapp Tickets

The One-In-Four bash promotes mental awareness...

Goldfrapp, Arab Strap, Snow Patrol and members of Teenage Fanclub and THE PASTELS are teaming up to promote mental health awareness at a five-day, seven-venue music festival in GLASGOW.

The bill for the One-In-Four festival, to run between May 28 and June 1, includes 23 bands and five DJ sets. It is the second time the event has been held in the city, raising funds for the Scottish Association For Mental Health.

Other artists so far confirmed to play live sets include Astrid, V-Twin, Eugene Kelly, The Trashcan Sinatras, Macrocosmica and Franz Ferdinand.

The DJ sets will come from indie veterans The Pastels, Gerard Love of Teenage Fanclub, Optimo DJs Twitch & Wilkes, Policechief, comedian Phil Kay and Radio 1 Session In Scotland presenters Vic Galloway and Gill Mills.

The events, which are virtually all being played without fee by the bands with all venue hire and crew donating their services free of charge too, will be held at QMU, Nice ‘N Sleazy, King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, The Garage, Mono, Stereo and SubClub.

The event – named to mark the statistic that one in four people will suffer from mental health problems at some time in their life – kicks off with Goldfrapp at QMU on May 28. As part of the festival, there will be two informal drop-in sessions where confidential information and advice will be offered.
