Goldfrapp's Will Gregory composes original score for The Big Chill festival

'Sonic Journey' inspired by festival landscape

Goldfrapp on stage at London's Cecil Sharp House on Thursday (October 23) as part of 'one of the most intense' shows on the BBC Electric Proms calendar. The singer was joined by a band and a 12-strong group of players for the folk performance.
Goldfrapp member Will Gregory has composed a special score for this year's Big Chill festival.

Revellers will be able to enjoy the inaugural performance of 'Sonic Journey', the first of a series of pieces created for and inspired by the festival, at the Eastnor Castle site.

Organisers promise that the planned series of works will "capture the essence, spirit and feeling of traveling across a stretch of inspiring landscape."

Fans are encouraged to download the piece and the route map from and retrace Gregory's footsteps through sound.

The Big Chill takes place on August 5-8, featuring a line-up including Massive Attack, MIA and Thom Yorke.
