Goldie Lookin Chain to headline free festival
Goldie Lookin' Chain
It's in their native Newport
Goldie Lookin Chain are set to headline Newport’s first ever free open air festival later this year.
Around 10,000 people are expected to attend Crow Point, which takes place on September 17 in Coronation Park.
As well as acts including Roni Size and Asian Dub Foundation, the bill will also feature upcoming local bands, before the native GLC top the bill.
Expressing their joy at playing their hometwon, the faux rap outfit explained: “Not only are we being given the opportunity to perform on home ground to an audience that we love more than life itself, but we get to celebrate the ultimate British pastime of drinking lager wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and some suntan cream.”
