Goldie Lookin Chain have announced a full UK tour.

The 2009 dates follow the band's announcement of a 'pay-what-you-like' gig at London's Metro on January 14.

The band are giving away new single 'New Day' as a free download from January 1, while a full album, 'Abso4Life', will follow in 2009.

"Go get jobs losers" from the guy posting unnecessary negative comments mid-day on a Wednesday! I've been to hundreds and hundreds of shows....from The Cult to Bon Iver, Rocket From The Crypt to Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, The Bronx to Elliott Smith...and I have never had as much fun at a show as I have Goldie Lookin Chain shows. Every time I've ever been to a GLC show everyone in the audience has huge happy smiles on their faces, dancing and enjoying themselves...how often do you see that?In times like these, there's certainly nothing wrong with having a laugh and a bit of fun, all in good spirit. I loves GLC....thank goodness they're still around!

I saw them at a festival and they were quite funny, but the novelty has worn off now. I just don't think this type of thing has much mileage. It's not GLC's fault, it's just the nature of music.

Music needs bands like GLC. Just to pad out the uber-serious Coldplay, U2, Killers bollocks. I'd rather sit in a dingy bar and watch some Welsh "rap" for a tenner than fork out Â£50 to be preached to by some arrogant twat.
