The drum'n'bass star announces a string of US DJing gigs to "keep himself fresh"...

GOLDIE has announced a comprehensive DJ tour of the US for April.

The club tour calls at Detroit Motor (April 1), Chicago House Of Blues (3), Denver Trinity (4), Minneapolis Quest Club (5), New York Roxy (6), Washington Capital Ballroom (7), New Orleans State Palace Theatre (8), LA Viper Room (11), Portland Ohm (12), Seattle Supper Club (13), and Las Vegas Utopia (15). He is also lining up a date in San Francisco for April 14, although a venue is yet to be confirmed.

Goldie's spokesperson told nme.com: "He just decided to go over to the States and do a few gigs to make a bit of money really. He DJs all the time in the UK, as well as running club nights, and just wants to do some American dates to keep it all fresh."

The spokesperson added that between DJ committments, Goldie was in London writing and recording his as yet untitled third solo album for possible release in the late summer. His last solo album 'Saturnz Return' was released in 1998, and featured collaborations with Noel Gallagher and [b]KRS-One.
