Gonzales breaks world record for longest solo concert

Gonzales broke the Guinness World Record for the longest public solo performance yesterday (May 17).

The Canadian-born MC/singer/pianist, who is known for his collaborations with Feist and Pink, played 300 consecutive songs on the piano during a performance that lasted more than 27 straight hours at Theatre Cine 13 in Paris.

Excerpts from the performance can be seen here here and it will soon be broadcast in its entirety at Arte.fr.

A documentary about the event is also in production, and is expected to be released in the coming months.
