Good Charlotte advised by punk hero
Green Day give them the thumbs-up
Good Charlotte have revealed that Green Day have been giving them advice for their new album.
The band have been chatting to Billie Joe Armstrong, who gave them some helpful hints.
Guitarist Benji Madden told MTV that Green Day frontman had complemented the band, saying: “You guys are good, don’t ever hold back. Just do what you want and everything will fall into place.”
For Madden, Armstrong’s words were inspirational.
“For someone like that, who you look up to, to say something like that, you just feel like, ‘Yeah, we can do anything we want. We can take a chance’," he declared.
The band are set to release 'Good Morning Revival', the follow-up to 2004's ‘The Chronicles of Life and Death’, in February.
A release date has yet to be confirmed.
