De La Soul to join Gorillaz in Manchester
The rappers sign up for ‘Demon Days’ residency
De La Soul have confirmed that they will be joining Gorilaz for their November residency in Manchester.
As previously reported, the cartoon band are set to play back their album ‘Demon Days’ in its entirety during their five night residency at the Manchester Opera House (November 1-5).
Now the rap trio have announced they will be joining the Gorillaz at some of the shows, along with Shaun Ryder and Roots Manuva, who were already confirmed. More collaborators from ‘Demon Days’ are expected to be joining the line-up soon.
Tickets for the shows - a trailblazing event for the city’s International Festival, which launches in 2007 - went on sale on October 3 and sold out within hours.
