Ever wanted to see pictures of Murdoc as a schoolboy?

Cartoon Gorillaz' star Murdoc, created by Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn, has started his own official Facebook profile page complete with pictures of him as a child.

A photo album, entitled 'Me And My Photos Of Me', featuring 30 photos of the drawn star, are featured on the profile page, including pictures of him as a schoolboy, and him in bed with former collaborator Shaun Ryder later in life.

Murdoc does not currently boast a great slew of Facebook friends, but no doubt NME.COM readers will be keen to log on and make friends with the star.

It's not the band's only new online foray.

They have also set up their own internet estate agents so they can flog their listed 'haunted studio' this Halloween.

Any NME.COM readers interested?

Meanwhile the band's real-life creators have confirmed they are going to make a documentary about the cartoon collective, get the details on NME.COM now.
