Have a sneaky peak at Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's 'Bananaz' now
Watch exclusive clip from new Gorillaz documentary on NME.COM
Gorillaz documentary 'Bananaz: Taking Down The Virtual Walls Of Gorillaz' is set to be released on June 1 – but NME.COM has an exclusive clip now.
The film by Ceri Levy is being released on DVD, and follows Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's cartoon band from 2000 to 2006.
The documentary goes behind the scenes with the band, and includes appearances from Dennis Hopper, De La Soul, Danger Mouse, Dan The Automator and D12, among others.
The DVD release will feature an hour of outtake material under the title of 'The Bananaz Home Movie Club'.
NME.COM has an exclusive clip from 'Bananaz', which you can watch now. Apparently we even get a bit of a namecheck.
Don't worry he loves us really... we think...
The full film meanwhile will be screened tomorrow (April 2) at the Apple Store in London, followed by a question and answer session with Levy.
The film then gets its online premiere on April 20 on Babelgum.
Head to Babelgum now for more information, advance trailers and other bonus material.
