Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett enlist 'Watchman''s Alan Moore
Gorillaz pair working with Moore on new opera
Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have recruited comic book writer Alan Moore for their next joint project.
Moore, who wrote the 'Watchmen' comics (which were turned into a film earlier this year), confirmed the news during an interview with Mustardweb.org about his new magazine Dodgem Logic, which is due to launch in November.
"They came down to Northampton last week because we're planning for me to do the libretto on their next opera project," he explained.
Moore also revealed that he hoped to get the animated band to feature in one of his future comics. "We've hopefully got Gorillaz on board [to appear in a forthcoming issue of Dodgem Logic]," he said.
