Gorillaz set for UK warm-up shows with members of The Clash?
Damon Albarn's cartoon crew for six-date gig run
Gorillaz have announced details of UK warm-up shows later this month to road test their new live band.
Damon Albarn's group will kick off the six-date run at Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms on March 21, it was confirmed in a mailout to members of their fan club.
The live band is rumoured to feature former members of The Clash Paul Simonon (who Albarn played with in The Good, The Bad & The Queen and Mick Jones alongside Albarn.
Gorillaz will play:
Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms (March 21)
Bristol Trinity (22)
Cambridge Junction (23)
Brighton Old Market (25)
Birmingham Irish Centre (26)
Lincoln Engine Shed (27)
Tickets are only available to members of Gorillaz' official fan club, G-Club. See Gorillaz.com for more information.
