UNFINISHED MYNCI BUSINESS

UNFINISHED MYNCI BUSINESS
Gorky's Zygotic Mynci have rescheduled part of their UK tour, which was originally postponed after guest guitarist NORMAN BLAKE had to return home due to family illness.

The band initially announced a UK tour for May this year, with Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake joining the band as a guitarist on all the dates.

However, after the first night of the tour at the Glasgow Arts School on May 21, Blake learned his three-year old daughter Rowan had been hospitalised after breaking her leg in a fall. As a result Blake decided to spend time at home to be with her.

The band, together with Blake have now rearranged two of the postponed shows in Bristol and London for July. They play Bristol New Trinity Centre (July 5) and London Union Chapel (8).However, Gorky's have been forced to cancel the shows at the Leeds City Varieties Theatre and Manchester University MDH. Ticketholders for these shows can receive a refund from the point of purchase.

Gorky's are also confirmed to make an appearance at the Carling Weekend Festival in Reading and Leeds on August 25-28. The band are also working on a mini-album, which is slated for a November release.
