The Gossip are among the names that have been added to the bill for this year's Bestival bash.

Other names confirmed for the Isle Of Wight event include Soul II Soul, Bat For Lashes, Noisettes, The Kissaway Trail and Tunng.

Speaking of the newest recruits, festival curator Rob da Bank said: “The Gossip have made quite a few of my favourite records of the last year and their leader Beth Ditto is gonna whip our crowd into shape big time!

"Soul II Soul, on the other hand, have made quite a few of my favourite records ever and I’m well pleased to have tempted them to do a rare full live show on the Saturday night.”

The festival, which is set to be headlined by The Chemical Brothers and The Beastie Boys, will take place from September 7-9.
