The Gossip
Beth Ditto and co. post '1000 Things' on Myspace
Gossip have uploaded another demo from their recent recording sessions online.
The Arkansas trio are currently holed up in the studio making the follow-up to breakthrough album 'Standing In The Way Of Control', and the track finds them on more melancholy and stripped-down than previously.
'1000 Things' was posted along with a blog by guitarist Brace Paine in which he cited "The Fall, green tea, Eurythmics and tight black leather gloves" as the group's current inspirations, and promised: "more demos/practice tapes on the way to tide you over until our new record comes out".
"We are hard at work right now and I have seriously been playing bass for 5 days straight...arthritis is gently knocking on my door," he added. "The weather in Portland is near perfection right now. We also probably won't be playing out at all until the new stuff is recorded."
Gossip released 'Standing In The Way Of Control' in 2006.
The band have posted the new track and blog at MySpace.com/gossipband.
