Beth Ditto of Gossip has collaborated on a make-up line with cosmetics giant MAC.

Revealing the news on Gossip's Facebook page, the band stated that the range will be available to buy this summer. MAC has previously collaborated with Barbie, Hello Kitty and last year released lines in conjunction with visual artist Cindy Sherman and Miss Piggy.

Beth Ditto recently revealed to NME that Gossip have recorded their new album with Mark Ronson. She said: "One of our most common bonds was that we both loved big voices, church voices. He loves country music, which is a big deal to me because, you know, in terms of things I love, country music is probably number one, then it’s punk and hip-hop."

Find out more about the forthcoming Gossip album and the band's work with Mark Ronson and Xenomania in the new issue of NME, which is on UK newsstands now or available digitally.

In 2009, Ditto designed a range for high street store Evans. At the time she commented: "You know, I'm a dyke – a crunchy dyke at that – so I had to weigh up whether I wanted to do something so corporate," Ditto told The Times, "but it's been a dream. I literally sketched out these shoes and they made them and flew them back to me. And I wanted to do a lot of things you're always told not to wear if you're big."
