An original by the guitarist could be yours for just £35

An original artwork by Graham Coxon is up for sale for the relatively cheap sum of £35.

NME’s Solo Artist of 2005 has donated a drawing to the Royal College Of Art’s RCA Secret 2005 sale, and one lucky collector will be able to snap it up at a rock bottom price – however there is a catch.

RCA Secret is an annual art sale to raise funds for the college’s student fund and sees famous artists, celebrities and students donating postcards featuring their work. However all the contributions are put on sale at the same price of £35 without revealing who actually created them.

Buyers only find out who created their chosen postcard after forking out for it – meaning they could anything from get an extremely valuable work by a famous artists or something designed by a relative, but up-and-coming unknown.

Other musicians including Paul McCartney and David Bowie have contributed to the sale in the past, while Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon has also donated a postcard this year’s event.

RCA Secret can be viewed at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, London between November 18 and 24, before all the works are sold on November 25.
