Graham Coxon records World Cup song Graham Coxon Tickets
The guitarist has collaborated with Jimmy Pursey
Graham Coxon has recorded an unofficial World Cup song.
The guitarist has joined Sham 69’s Jimmy Pursey for the reworking of the punk band’s ‘Hurry Up Harry’ into ‘Hurry Up England’.
New group Louie also feature on the record, providing backing vocals.
All funds raised from the sale of the single will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
A release date for ‘Hurry Up England’ is yet to be confirmed.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Graham Coxon is to play the UK’s biggest anti-racism festival at London’s Finsbury Park.
The Buzzcocks, The Wailers, Sway and Roy Ayers have also been confirmed to perform at the free event, Rise: London United on July 8.
Other artists will be announced over the coming weeks.
