Blur guitarist reveals plan for 'The Spinning Top' follow-up
Graham Coxon has revealed that he is looking to the future for inspiration for his next solo album, which he has already started writing.
The Blur guitarist explained that he had abandoned the retro feel of his recent, largely acoustic-based effort 'The Spinning Top', and hinted that he could gear up work on his next effort soon.
"I'll have a new solo album sooner or later, I already have several songs stacked up," he told the Daily Star.
Speaking about how the new songs compared to those on 'The Spinning Top', he added: "It's a completely different style. They sound more 2066 than 1966 this time."
Meanwhile, Blur are preparing for a summer of gigging, with their schedule including shows at London's Hyde Park, following low-key gigs to warm up.
As well as their own gigs they will play at the Glastonbury (June 28), Oxegen (July 10) and
T In The Park (12) festivals.
