Grandaddy return with mini-album

And there's also news of a new full-length LP too...

Californian indie rockers Grandaddy are to release a new mini-album later this year.

The band release the seven-track ’Excerpts From The Diary Of Todd Zilla’ on October 3 through V2. It’s the Modesto outfit’s first new material since their 2003 album ’Sumday’, and will be followed in early 2006 with a new full-length studio album.

The tracklisting for ’Excerpts From The Diary Of Todd Zilla’ is:

’Pull My Curtains’
’At My Post’
’A Valley Son (Sparing)’
’Cinderland’
’Fuck The Valley Fudge’
’Florida’
’Goodbye’

An extra track, ’Hidden Health Announcement’, will be available only on the limited vinyl version released on Devil In The Woods.

As previously reported on NME.COM, some of the songs that have been completed for the forthcoming new full-length album are ’Campershell Dreams’, ’Disconnecty’, ’Where I’m Anymore’ and ’Jeez Louise’.

In other sensational news, frontman Jason Lytle has shaved off his beard.
