Green Day, Blink-182, Linkin Park, System Of A Down for huge European festival

Simple Plan, Architects, Of Mice & Men, Prophets Of Rage, Rancid and David Hasselhoff will also play Nova Festival

Green Day, Blink 182, Linkin Park and System Of A Down are among the first names to be announced for the huge line-up of Nova Rock Festival.

Also on the bill for the massive Austrian rock festival are Pierce The Veil, Simple Plan, Architects, Of Mice & Men, Prophets Of Rage, Rancid, Suicide Silence, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Hatebreed, In Flames, Devildriver, Airbourne, Avatar – and even David Hasselhoff.

Nova Rock Festival takes place from 14-17 June at Nickelsdord Pannonia Fields in Austria. The line-up reveals a lot about the bands who’ll be on tour for festival season next year, suggesting that many of the acts on the bill could appear at the likes of Download, Glastonbury and Isle Of Wight which all happen around the same period.

System Of A Down are expected to drop their long-awaited new album next year as their world tour plans continue to develop, while

Green Day recently told NME that their seminal 2004 album ‘American Idiot’ will be made into a movie by HBO, while frontman Billie Joe Armstrong stars stars as the lead in ‘Ordinary World’ – set for release on 14 October.

Green Day will headline British Summer Time Festival at Hyde Park in London on Saturday 1 July. A full line-up of support acts is yet to be announced. Tickets are on general sale from 9am on Friday 7 October.

They release their new album ‘Revolution Radio’ on 7 October. The band return to the UK to tour in early 2017, performing at Leeds First Direct Arena (February 5), Manchester Arena (6) and London O2 Arena (8).
