New material by members of Green Day has reportedly appeared on the internet.
The band are rumoured to have formed a 1960s-esque rock 'n' roll side project called the Foxboro Hot Tubs.
Although Green Day’s involvement has not been officially confirmed, the band’s six-song album which can be downloaded free from Foxborohottubs.com/.
The extra material would fit with what frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told NME.COM earlier this year, revealing that the band had a surplus of new material.
“Right now we’re working on three different albums,” he explained. “We’re working on about 30 songs right now so we’re just gonna catalogue (it) and see what ends up happening.”
The project is not the first time Green Day have performed under alias, having also released songs as a masked rocked band called The Network.
