Green Day releasing new single?

Mysterious 60s-sounding garage band ready first release

A band strongly rumoured to be Green Day in disguise are set to release their debut single.

The punk trio are possibly behind the 1960s-sounding garage guitar group the Foxboro Hot Tubs who are gearing up for a seven-inch single ’Mother Mary’ and a full length album.

The single is currently available as a download from Jingletownrecords.com.

The Foxboro Hot Tubs were strongly rumoured to be Green Day when they posted songs online late last year, after the punks had spoken about making an album in the same style as the mystery band.

Additionally the new band’s vocalist bears more than a passing similarity to Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, plus it wouldn’t be the first time the punk trio moonlighted under a different name, as in 2003 they were revealed to be behind masked new wave The Network.

No matter who they moonlight as, you can't hide the fact they're about as edgy as a circle.

This is a good idea. It would be otherwise too difficult to release something succesful after the big impact last album had in the music world.
